What's in a name ft. Mojo's big day

Mommy had started panicking like it was dooms day. Papa was tailing her, trying to calm her down and explaining how this couldn’t be true and that he’d do something about it. Mojo sat beside Archie while Mia ran into walls like she had rocket launcher behind her tiny bum. Archie looked worried. Mojo didn’t bother about anything as he stood by his brother.

‘I’ve called the vet a hundred times’ she cried. Papa opened his laptop trying to read about the new issue that had shaken the whole town. Archie’s eyes had slightly dulled and Mojo sat there licking his face.

‘It says here that the new breakout might or might not be because of Cats. Researchers are still trying to find out the carrier of it.’ Papa explained.
‘Then why the hell do they have to call it Cat-flu?’
‘I don’t know! Plus, our kids are super healthy. They don’t even go out very often so they’re not going to catch an infection. We’ll do everything we can.’ He said while she panicked.

‘Hey,’ he grabbed her wrist. He pulled her close and held her by her shoulders. ‘I’ll do anything to keep the kids safe. I promise.’ He said. She dropped her head low and sighed.

The phone rang. ‘The vet called back!’ she screamed. ‘Hello, doctor. I’m not sure if you remember but I come to the hospital with my cat Archie.’ She began explaining.

Papa came to the boys and picked Archie up in his hands and began petting him. Mojo sat beside them resting. 

It was around 10 PM when things were a little calmer after the doctor assured Mommy that Archie and Mia aren’t in grave danger and that something could be worked out. Papa stayed back to help keep the annoying neighbors away who’d started to pressure mommy into getting rid of Archie and Mia.
‘Somebody knock some sense into the crazy cat lady.’ One of the neighbors had begun screaming in the afternoon. ‘She has two potential disease carriers in that house and a mutt that could harm our children.’

‘Forget my babies. I will bite you and give you a disease.’ Pat came Mommy’s response.

Just to avoid problems and of course to take care of the babies Papa had decided to stay for as long as it would take to get the situation in control.

The kids went to sleep in their kennel and Mommy and Papa slept on the couch outside just so that they could be available if and when the kids needed them.

‘Hey, wanna play fetch?’ Mojo suggested.
‘Nah, man. Stay away from me. I don’t want to give you a disease’ Archie emphasized the last word.
‘Hey Come on. Don’t sway that.’ Mojo rolled his tongue out trying to cheer his brother up. ‘Look, I’m sure they’re pooping.’ Mojo said.
Archie looked at him with absolutely no sense of what Mojo tried to tell.
‘Bull-pooping?’ Mojo did his puppy eyes. ‘Mommy would like for me to mind my language.’

‘What do you think? Is this the end of it?’ Archie looked at Mojo.

‘There’s only one way to find out.’  Mojo pulled the gadget out.
‘What do you want to do?’
‘Remember how we went to this controlled parallel universe once?’ Mojo reminded him.
‘Let’s induce the virus and set up better scientists. Maybe they can help see the real carriers.’
‘And what if it is the feline family?’ Archie asked.
‘Then we’ll set up scientists to find a cure.’ Mojo assured.
‘It’s not easy Mojo.’
‘I know it’s hard, alright? But to stay away from you with all this in mind is harder.’ He licked Archie’s face. There was something about the love the brothers had for each other that even nature wouldn’t want to jinx.
‘Well, I guess we can find out.’ Archie smiled.

‘I want to come too.’ Mia clung on to Mojo’s tail.
‘Uhh, Mia, we haven’t done the parallel universe thing earlier. It’s a cause-effect pattern and things could go out of hand.’
‘I heal.’ She said.
‘Maybe she can come. We’ll be fine.’ Mojo said.
They stood by the balcony and pressed the button.
Mia went on her first trip through a vacuum of trippy colors, shapes and patterns sucking the three of them away into a different world.
They rolled into the balcony of their home. One where the universe would run on team Morchie’s commands.

The boys quickly sat down with Mia planning the schedule.

‘Mia will have to go get the sample of the virus from the city’s lab very discreetly.’ Archie said. ‘I will vacate the lab by the lake while Mojo will take care of the scientists. I’ll see you all in exactly one hour.’
The team set off on working their tasks.

In an hour, Archie set up the laboratory and awaited the other two. He suddenly noticed a very subtle movement of things and a very blurry image of an object that moved with the force.
The force moved close to him and he fell back screaming.

‘It’s me!’ the object stopped. ‘Mia’ she stood still.

‘You move like the nightcrawler!’ he gasped. ‘Wat else can you do?’ He asked.

‘I don’t know. I just found out while being chased out by the security guard that I could run real fast.’
HE shook his head in disbelief.

‘Where’s the virus?’ He asked.

‘Int this vial.’ She handed it over to him.
‘Where are the people?’ He asked.

‘Hey!’ Mojo ran in. A bunch of stern looking people with glasses and white coats walked in.
‘There’s something I need to tell you…’ Mojo dragged.
‘Is that MARGOT ROBBIE?’ Archie saw her walk in with a pinch of sass and a lot of books in her hand.

‘Ugh, yes.’ Mojo said. ‘There should be SOME perks of being able to control the universe, right?’

‘Right’
‘Right’
Mia and Archie synced.

‘You must be Mr. Meowton’ Robbie walked closer and patted him.
‘Umm..uhh…that…err..yes?’ Archie was awestruck.

‘And you’re Ms. Pepperson?’
‘That would be me.’ Mia posed.

‘Could you guys please stay out of the lab, given that there aren’t enough lab coats and other sanitation necessities?’ She asked.

‘Sure.’ Archie signaled the others to walk out.
‘I’ll see you soon.’ She kissed Mojo’s nose.
‘What the catnip was that?’ Archie widened his eyes.
‘Isn’t that how you say goodbyes to people whose name ended with Jojo?’  she appeared confused.
‘PERKS’ Mojo moved his mouth.
‘Before you leave, I’d like the blood sample of all the three of you.’ She said.

The team sat outside waiting for several hours after it.
‘Can we fast forward this?’ Archie asked.
‘Yes, we can. But the consequences are headache, inability to detect taste and difficulties in pooping for the next 12 hours.’ Mojo explained.
‘Better than the anxiety of Cat-flu.’  Archie said.
‘Hold hands.’ Mojo instructed, and Mia immediately held on to Mojo.
‘You know this isn’t mandatory, right?’ Archie asked.
Mojo shut his eyes and kept his palm open for Archie.
‘Sigh’ Archie held him.
Mojo pressed a button and the three of them felt like riding a rollercoaster while the earth was cracking into two.

Once it stopped, they panted until their breathing cycle got back to normal.
‘So, what now?’ Mojo asked.
‘Let’s go inside and check.’
They walked in to find the place empty and were shocked to see the same.
They went around the whole place looking for them and they were nowhere to be found.

‘Guys, look.’ Mia screamed.
‘They found a piece of paper that had the result of the study with a note attached to it.’

‘Dear Mojo,
We rushed out to give you the good news but you guys were nowhere to be found.
I’m glad your family is alright.

‘NEGATIVE’ The results of the test proved.
Archie felt a sense of relief and Mojo was doing his signature bum dance. Mia licked Mojo back this time.

The three of them traveled back home and thanks to their control on time, they reached before Mommy and Papa could wake up.
The next day, the boys sneaked into the city lab and placed the results there.

‘Did you guys hear about the news?’ Mommy walked in.
‘My babies are all okay!’ She screamed.

‘Aaaand’ Papa walked in with a cake in his hand.
‘It’s or Mojo man’s birthday today!!’ 

He sat down.

Mojo butchered the cake and jumped around.
‘Margot Robbie and tune cake.’ He thought.’ BEST BIRTHDAY EVER.’
